Billy Ray Cyrus and Olesya Rulin in Flying By

Billy Ray Cyrus will be playing dad to Olesya Rulin for the new movie “Flying By.” It’s a family-friendly indie drama about a businessman who risks his marriage, family and fortune to pursue his dream of being in a rock band.

Cyrus’ character teams with his bandmates (Robert Gossett, Eric Allan Kramer) after being encouraged to perform by a club booker (Ted Hutton). Patricia Neal, an Oscar winner for “Hud,” is in final negotiations to play Cyrus’ mother. The film is scheduled to begin shooting November 26th in San Diego, assuming they can keep forward with all the fires…
