We are sad to announce the cancellation of the Jonas Brothers concert for this evening in Zurich. Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers is ill with an upper respiratory infection of the nose and throat and the doctor has advised that he not speak or sing. This is the first time that the Jonas Brothers have ever cancelled a show for sickness and deeply regret that they will not be able to perform as a group tonight.

The band, the management, and the promoter apologize that the show must be cancelled on such short notice. We will do everything we can to revisit Zurich in the future and perform for our wonderful fans. Tickets can be refunded as of Monday, 9 November until 31 December 2009 at the presale agency.

He writes, “Hello Everyone, October has been another busy month, my brothers and I just finished filming Camp Rock 2 and head back on the road this weekend to finish up our World Tour. We are going back to Latin and South America for a few dates and then it is off to Europe for the final leg of our World Tour.

Traveling to new places and meeting new people is one of my favorite parts of touring, but sometimes it can also make it more challenging for me to carefully monitor my blood glucose levels. I always make sure to have my CONTOUR® meter with me, and I take the time to check my glucose levels, no matter how busy I get, even when on stage sometimes. Also, this month I’ll be announcing the winners of the Express Your Simple Win contest.”

Of course this led to fans freaking out – wondering if the group was breaking up. That’s not the case. The Nick, Joe, and Kevin took to MySpace to clear up the rumors.

They write:

#1 – The Jonas Brothers are NOT breaking up!
#2 – Nick Jonas IS working on a side project called Nick Jonas & The Administration
#3 – This project will be released early in 2010
#4 – We are ALL excited about this project AND what we are doing TOGETHER!
#5 – We plan to make music together for as long as we can.

A news story hit the internet today concerning Nick Jonas & The Administration. We are so excited to share it with you…OUR FANS.

From Nick:

About 6 months ago, the three of us had a 2 week break from touring, and we all decided to go and do something that was on our hearts. Joe went on a trip to Australia and New Zealand. Kevin spent some time with his fiancé Danielle. I decided to go to Nashville, TN to make a side project (Nick Jonas & The Administration) with 4 musicians – guys that I had met and worked with before. If I was to describe the sound to someone… I would say its “heart & soul”, because the music that I make is from my heart, and the lyrics I write are from my soul.

We’ve said from the beginning of our career as the Jonas Brothers that anything we do outside of the group is a side project because you can’t break up brothers. My brothers are my biggest supporters, and were on the phone with me every day while I was in the studio asking how it was going, and telling me they couldn’t wait to hear the record.

My brothers and I couldn’t be more excited to have these amazing opportunities as a group, and as individuals. We are already planning another world tour AS THE JONAS BROTHERS next summer, and it is all thanks to our amazing fans.

I am so excited to share more details about my project with all of you as we come closer to the end of the year, but for right now, Kevin, Joe and I have a show to play in Venezuela!

We are so proud of our brother Nick. We know that we will be doing music together for the rest of our lives. But we are thrilled for you to hear these songs that were on his heart. Taylor Lautner, 17: It’s gotta be illegal to think a 17-year-old is one of the hottest men in H’wood, but we just can’t help fawning over this Twilight hunk. His dimples say he’s just a kid, but his sizzling abs (that he loves to show off in almost every photo shoot) tell a completely different story.

Nick Jonas, 17: The youngest JoBro (besides Bonus Jonas Frankie, ‘course) sure gets around, dating Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus, Nick’s got more gals swooning over him than any legal-age pop star around, including his two brothers. Can’t wait to see how long that purity ring lasts when Nick’s old enough to pick up girls in bars.

Miley Cyrus, 16: Though she’s the biggest squeaky-clean Disney kid around, M.C. dates older men and ain’t afraid of dressing like jailbait. She’s been sent to pop-culture detention more than any other teen in H’wood, girl totally forgets she’s still just a kid and prolly shouldn’t be gyrating on stripper poles or taking naughty pics of herself and posting them online (though, truthfully, nobody at any age should be doing that).

Selena Gomez, 17: While Miley’s off stirring up some trouble, Selena’s been nothing short of an angel, which we’re sure makes Disney breathe a sigh of relief. Still, the Wizards of Waverly Place star manages to look a decade older than 17, plus she squeezed in a short-but-sweet romance with other hottie teens Taylor Lautner and Nick Jonas. Not too shabby for a gal constantly in Miley’s shadow.

Demi Lovato, 17: Dem goes hand-in-hand with almost every other Disney hon on this list—is this the new Brat Pack or what? Li’l Miss Lovato’s had her own share of public woes: Rumors floated around that Demi was a cutter (which her rep has denied) and that she had a major Twitter-aided flirtfest (and major fallout) with Miley’s big bro, Trace Cyrus.

“Hello from the set of Camp Rock 2- This summer consisted of some memorable moments… Teen Choice Awards, performing on Good Morning America & The Today Show, Speaking in front of a Senate committee and the National Press Club, and traveling across North America on tour… to name a few!

We also had a softball team this summer as well called The Road Dogs. It was so much fun playing with our band. Filming is going well; we should finish shooting at the end of the month. It is great to see everyone again and catch up on what they have been doing since we were last together.

My blog picture this month is from my birthday celebration. My family surprised me with a very special gift this year. I was given the piano that I wrote ‘A Little Bit Longer’ on while filming the first Camp Rock Movie. The song will always have a special place in my heart and now to be gifted the piano – I was not expecting such a gift and was so thankful to my family.

I can’t believe all the outstanding entries that were turned in for the creativity contest. Well done everyone! It wouldn’t have been such a huge success without all your entries and votes in helping to pick each monthly winner. I can’t wait to work with Bayer to pick the winners! We’ll be announcing the grand prize winners very soon so stay tuned. -Nick”
