Selena shared her dream with WWD, saying, “Growing up in Texas, I was sort of close-minded and kind of a tomboy, but as I’ve traveled, I found such a love of clothes. It’s really always been a dream of mine to have a line.”

To start, the company plans to launch a full sportswear collection for fall 2010 selling — Boho dresses, floral printed tops, jeans, skirts, jackets and some accessories such as scarves and hats. Most of the collection is made in an organic soft cotton and all fabrics are recycled or eco-friendly in some way, which was important to Gomez. All items within the collection are made to be mixed and matched, even with the ability to mix prints.

As for the details, Selena insists she’s going to be very picky. “With my line, I really want to give the customer options on how they can put their own looks together. I want the pieces that can be easy to dress up or down, and the fabrics being eco-friendly and organic are superimportant. Also, the tags will all have some of my inspirational quotes on them. I’m just looking to send a good message.”

The Harry Potter starlet, who models for Burberry, told Daily Express, “I don’t think it’s very pretty to be really, really skinny. I don’t aspire to be super-skinny.”

“Even if I wanted to be that skinny I love food and I love cooking and I love sitting down and having nice meals so it just wouldn’t be possible,” she added.

The collection for People Tree is aimed at bringing fair trade and organic fashion to the 16-24 age group. Emma will be acting in the role of creative advisor, injecting her personal style into the range.

“I was excited by the idea of using fashion as a tool to alleviate poverty and knew it was something I could help make a difference with,” she said.

“I think young people like me are becoming increasingly aware of the humanitarian and environmental issues surrounding fast fashion and want to make good choices but there aren’t many options out there.”

I personally adore Emma’s fashion sense, so I’m looking forward to seeing what she comes up with!

The Camp Rock starlet also chatted with WWD recently about fashion and her new album, Here We Go Again.

Demi definitely thinks about her fans when she steps out. “Sometimes when I want to wear a really hot skirt or something, I think, ‘Would you want your little sister to wear that skirt in two years? No.’”

As for her album, she reveals that it’s “more relaxed and more mature. [The songs are] pretty much just heartbreak. I had fallen in love and then my heart got broken. I had never fallen in love before, so that was interesting.”

• The No Pants Dance
Try to go the whole summer wearing skirts, dresses and shorts. This is a great way to push yourself to mix up your outfits and keep from getting too hot in the summer sun.

• Signature Scents
Your sense of smell is directly associated with your memory. So pick a scent that people can really remember you by, something sweet and summery. Mine is DKNY Be Delicious. Wear your scent everyday of summer but please don’t drench yourself. From now on you will leave a lasting impression.

• Wet and Wavy
Want that luscious wavy beach hair that girls like Gisele and Scarlett have? After you shower when your hair is almost dry sprits it with salty water and put it up in a French braid to finish drying. When its done take out the braid and you have runway ready waves. So hang ten ladies.

• No Kill to Thrill
You don’t have to kill yourself to look good this summer! If on the curvier side, like me, try a boy short cut bottom with a top with a lot of support. Top it off with a light bronzer and use it to outline the “abs” you have and your collarbone. You can also use the bronzer on the sides of your legs and arms to add definition.

• Scorch without Screaming
Tan is always in for summer but, don’t want to lose your Twilight look forever, try a spray tan! They are a great way to have a temporary beach ready body without any rise of skin cancer and without the pain of burns.

• Ditch the Cake
I don’t mean any sort of diet, I mean your make up! Caked on foundation and powder makes everyone look old, in a bad way. Ditch your foundation and thick powders. Try this:

-1. Use a bronzer and blush on your cheek bone and the crease of your eyes.
-2. Then cover any blemishes you have with a dab of cover up.
-3. Finish up with a thin line of black liner on your top eyelid and some mascara. Use a touch of pinky lipstick or gloss to add a little color.

• AVPlease!
Need an excuse to check out some babes! Go to an AVP tournament. Not only are they on the beaches of SoCal but also they are full of onlookers who are athletic and cute! This is a great trip to take with friends or just you.

• Sweat is Sweet
Sweating at the beginning of everyday is a great way to cleanse the skin and give you a summer glow, not to mention a great attitude. Exercise releases endorphins which make you happy. So everyday start off with a 15 minute run or abs workout, break a sweat and have a great day.

• Summer Kicks
Summer is the time to live it up. Use this time to explore shoes! Try different heights and colors to spice up an outfit. Also, try different nail polish colors. Change it up constantly to avoid getting bored.

• I Do Tattoo
Want a tattoo but not forever? Buy some zinc. It’s a thick paste that is way sun proof. Take a brush or finger and draw your tattoo on using the zinc be sure to make it thick and defined. Have fun in the sun and by the end of the day enjoy your 2week-4week tattoo.

The Wizards of Waverly Place starlet says that she definitely prefers modeling over acting. “I haven’t been asked and would be too nervous to model. I’d be terrified. I mean, I’m not a model, I’m an actress. I’ll leave the modeling to Heidi Klum.”

And if Selena had to pick a fashion buddy, it would be her best friend Demi Lovato. “She’s the best when it comes to bargain and designer shopping. She’s good at helping me pick out a bargain and good at spending my money!”

Selena also revealed her love for designer Matthew Williamson. “I was given a look-book of his work and I fell in love with every single piece. I wore one of his dresses to the Children’s BAFTAs — my mom was worried it was going to be too short, but it fit perfectly.”

Miley Cyrus recently revealed that she is a people watcher, saying that she loves to sit unnoticed and comment on what passers-by are wearing. I’m wondering when she is ever able to sit around unnoticed!!

The Hannah Montana starlet reveals, “I love fashion so I just love to go out and watch people go by and comment on all their outfits.”

“It’s fascinating what people do and choose to wear and all that stuff.”

As far as preparing for her red carpet stroll at the Academy Awards, Miley insists that she “didn’t do anything out of the ordinary to get ready.”

Taylor Momsen is back to wearing heavy eyeliner as she attends the amfAR New York Gala at Cipriani on 42nd Street to kick off Fall 2009 Fashion Week last night.
