On playing Jane: I kind of just looked at people. I wasn’t in my mirror like Zoolander, doing the Blue Steel! The red contacts were enough.

On Kristen Stewart and their roles in The Runaways: We became really close, like we’d known each other for our whole lives. We talk all the time. The relationship that Joan and Cherie have in the script is kind of the one that Kristen and I have in real life, minus the destructive part.

On Private School: I started there in the ninth grade, and they were pretty receptive to me right away. I really wanted a home base, because I feel like no matter how old people are, they remember homecoming. They remember their senior prom. And I really wanted that.

On Dating: [I've dated] one boy from my school. I have a small class, so the pool is very limited. Everyone kind of knows everyone.

The Twilight Saga actor revealed to the magazine how exactly he gained those thirty pounds to continue playing the role of Jacob Black.

“I tried to stay focused on the things I could control,” he says.

He also spilled secrets about his character, revealing, “When a man transforms into a wolf, all of his clothes get shredded. When he comes back to human form, he’s wearing ripped jeans, and that’s about it. It’s the way it was written. The great thing about this series is we stay true to the books.”

Taylor says that music is different from acting for her. “I kind of grew up in front of the camera: I started modeling when I was two. I was never pushed into it, but I never really chose it either. That’s why music is so different for me—I’ve known since I was little that this is what I want to do.”

As far as writing songs, Taylor says that she writes whatever comes into her mind! “I start with an idea, an emotion, and I write whatever comes into my mind. My lyrics are my diary—you’re hearing every detail of my life. I’m still learning guitar, so I have a writing partner who helps me: I know what I want to do, but I can’t physically do it, so it’s good to have someone there who can interpret. I’d call my music rock, but with pop hooks. I grew up listening to the Beatles, Blondie, and Joan Jett, and I love Nirvana.”

Taylor finished high school more than two years early. “I found it kind of boring. I’m an artist; I’m not going to use trigonometry. Now I’m taking college classes online—I want to major in Language Arts.”

Taylor admits to being opinionated and says she has trust issues. “I’ve always been like that. People misinterpret what I say all the time: They think I’m being offensive, when really, I’m only being opinionated. Most of my friends are older, too. I live a very adult life: I have two different careers; I’m on tour. What am I going to do, hang out with the high school kids? I just can’t relate to what they talk about—it seems so petty.”

She reveals that her parents trust her and she’s not a crazy teen. “I’m not dating anyone right now, but I’ve had lots of relationships. My parents know that I’m not going to date someone who’s sixteen. Boys are so much less mature than girls as it is; there’s just no way— I would eat a boy my age alive.”

Taylor also talks about being a finalist for the role of Hannah Montana. “I think it’s a great opportunity for Miley, but yeah, I guess I am relieved. If I had gotten the part, it would be a very different show. It wouldn’t have worked for me. I push back. When I was nine, it seemed amazing. But I wouldn’t have been able to deal with not writing my own songs. I don’t want to lose the artistry—a lot of people in music right now are faces—manufactured. I don’t want to be that.”

“I think that it gets kind of complicated if you say, ‘Girls cause too much drama, I don’t need them in my life.’ But I went through a phase where I was like, ‘I just want a bunch of guy friends because girls just cause too much drama.’”

Selena continues, “But in the end of it, girls are just as sensitive as you are. I think they bring a sense of heart to you more than boys, if that makes sense. You’re so comfortable around them that you can just be a total girl.”

She further says that they won’t judge you. “You don’t have to wear makeup with them; they won’t judge you for that, whereas if you’re with boys you have to constantly worry, ‘Do I look okay?’ So I find that they make me more confident in myself!’”

In the issue, on stands today, Emma talks about her future and decision to go to college. Check out this behind-the-scenes footage of her photo shoot and read some of her interview below!

“It’s going to sound dramatic, but I feel like it’s going to be my life over as I know it,” Emma reveals. “My whole life has been about and then all of that’s going to shut down and I don’t know what that will be like. I go to university in September – I’ll be doing bits and bobs at Christmas, but September feels like my cut off point, when I’ll really stop Harry Potter.”

Emma says it’s also important that she decides for herself who she wants to be. “I don’t want other people to decide who I am. I want to decide that for myself. I want to avoid becoming too styled and too ‘done’ and too generic. You see people as they go through their career and they just become more and more like everyone else. They start out with something individual about them but it gets lost. Natalie Portman is an exception. I’m in awe of how she’s handled herself.”

When it comes to her future Emma wants to take a step back and figure it all out, not rushing into anything. “I need university to give me that break. People think because I’m going to university I’m never going to act again, but it’s actually me… I want to… figure out how I feel about everything first. Maybe I’ll keep acting, maybe I won’t. I just want to find something where I feel I have to do this. Maybe that’ll happen when I read a script. It felt like that with Hermione [Granger]. I want to feel like that again.”
