Jennifer Stone is set to take the title role in the film Harriet the Spy!
The Hollywood Reporter reports that the movie will be co-produced by the Disney Channel and 9 Story Entertainment.
Jennifer will star as Harriet Welsch, a girl who is determined to be her high school’s class blogger as she clashes with her nemesis, popular student Marion Hawthorne. In 1996, Nickelodeon made a feature film out of the book series starring Michelle Trachtenberg & Gregory Smith.
The project will shoot in Hamilton, Ontario, to Dec. 4. The film will debut in 2010 on The Disney Channel

Selena Gomez is set to star in the new film, What Boys Want!
The new film centers on a teenage girl who can hear what men are thinking, according to Variety.
Selena’s mother Mandy Teefey will executive produce the film along with Allen Fisher.
New Line is in final negotiations with Selena who formed July Moon Productions last year and has partnered with XYZ Films to finance development of at least two films in which she would star and produce.
