Sounds like High School Musical 4 won’t have ANYONE we know from the previous installments! Earlier it was announced that Matt Prokop would not be joining the cast, and now it looks like Jemma McKenzie-Brown has followed suit

The actress, 14, who played Tiara Gold in HSM3 is now back to auditioning, but is grateful to have the Disney smash under her belt.

She said: “I think it’s been decided they’re going for a whole new route with it which is a shame but I had a really good time doing the third one.”

She added: “I’m back to auditioning and have got some cool opportunities and good scripts so hope something comes up!”

“When I’m 16 and have left school I can start concentrating on other stuff and in ten years time I’ll hopefully have a film or two under my belt but I love theatre too so that would be fun.”

Zac Efron was spotted out last night at a Lakers game at Staples Center in Los Angeles! The Lakers took on the Memphis Grizzlies, defeating them 99-89.

It was just announced yesterday that High School Musical 4 is a go, but Zac Efron will not be a participant. Instead the torch will be passed off to Matt Prokop. Do you think Matt can follow in Zac’s footsteps?

“Since doing the movie I’ve gone from getting auditions for radio plays to getting auditions for films,” she spills. “It’s like, ‘We’re considering Tom Cruise for the role of the father,’ and I’m thinking, ‘Oh God, this is crazy.’”

Jemma has been compared to Miley Cyrus and she admits that it’s strange. “She’s such a massive star. It’d be amazing to be as successful as her but it’s just nice to be classed in the same category. It’s just too huge. Everything is really surreal, it hasn’t sunk in yet. You have to step back. It’s crazy, it’s not something you ever imagine happening to you.”

Selena Gomez graced the High School Musical 3 red carpet with her presence last night, but did she have ulterior motives in mind?

It seems that Selena recently confessed that she’d love to take part in the continuing of the High School Musical franchise!

“I think that would be fun. I love singing and dancing. I would have to say I’d love to play Sharpay because I just know Ashley Tisdale is not that mean girl in real life and it’s fun to see her play something she’s not.”

Hmm, perhaps she’ll give Jemma McKenzie-Brown a run for her money!

“High School Musical 3: Senior Year” hasn’t even dropped yet, but there is already audition info for High School Musical 4!

The Film and Television Acting Blog has updated information on several auditions. Here’s the info and good luck to any of you Junior Celebs readers who go for it!

High School Musical 4:

Pre-production for HSM4 will most likely begin as soon as HSM3 is released in theaters on October 24th. Send your head shot and resume to the address listed here. Extras registration and open dance audition info coming soon.

Zac Efron is supposedly in negotiations to star once again as Troy Bolton. Others listed as starring in HSM4 include Matt Prokop, Jemma McKenzie Brown, Bart Johnson and Justin Martin. Filming locations will take place at East High in Utah once again.

Hannah Montana TV Series:

Hannah Montana season 3 is back and casting for the Fall 2008 season. They are looking for young males, a young girl, cupid preacher, and more. For more detailed information and extras casting address see here.

J.O.N.A.S.! :

Casting for J.O.N.A.S.! has started and they are looking for someone to play Macy (female 14-17 years old) and Mom (play Jonas Brothers mom). Shooting for this series will start sometime in September. See more info here.

Camp Rock 2:

There has been a tentative release date of June 7, 2009 made for Camp Rock 2. Filming will not begin until early 2009. The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato will return and Bonus Jonas Frankie will make his debut.

E! News has a clip of High School Musical 3 and we see quite a few scenes in the recap! The cast talk about their experience, what HSM means to them, and how the movie has affected the world!

And in other news, rumors are flying that Zac Efron would consider doing HSM4 if big bucks were involved! Zac is reportedly demanding $8m – $10m to star in High School Musical 4. “He’s thinking in the $8 million to $10 million range,” a source tells Life & Style magazine. “But it depends on how the movie opens and how desperately they want him back.”
