Demi Lovato Bullied in School

Demi Lovato may be living the high life, but she says that things weren’t always so easy. Demi stopped by Ellen DeGeneres and told the host that she was bullied as a seventh grader and decided to homeschool to avoid her classmates. Demi also wants to help out other young girls that are harassed by their peers.
“I never really understood why (I was being bullied) until looking back,” Demi tells Ellen. “I had a different lifestyle then everyone else. I want to help with bullying, because there are girls who can’t just up and home-school and focus on their career.”

Like me im pretty smart and i know all the hottest fashions but i get bullied and i have the most popular girl in the school as my best friend … i wish could be homw schooled but my parents are roughing it just with times now!!!

Yea, I know it’s sad. One of my friends was telling me about this and she said that when Demi Lovato was in the seventh grade her classmates asked everybody to sign a petition for her to leave! Like, I am bullied A LOT. It’s actually pretty bad. And I have begged my parents to let me be home schooled or at least transfer but they say I can’t even though I ask them almost everyday. Bullying isn’t something that should be ignored. And I think that adults should become more aware of it, especially teachers. I go to a Catholic school and people are still horribly cruel! And the problem is the teachers think that everybody is good and they can’t come to knowkedge of how bad it is. And they have to pretty oblivious to not know, since about every other day I come out of school about to cry because of what some of the boys and girls in my school have said to me.
i hope those bullies feel like s*** now

there is a lot of celebs that had bad childhoods.im really shocked to find that demi lovato was oneof them.i reallydo like demi.if she read this than she should be proud because i hardly ever tell people that i like a celeb.most of the teen celebs turned out just like lindsay lohan or hillary duff.they used to be my favorite celebs now i hope their career goes down the drain.they are going to put an end to their career if they keep this going.i really wish that demi doesn’t turn to be one of those girls.
She spits on asians and blacks. she is a racist. thats why she was bullied. Also when she was ten she returned to her old school and did a school shooting(pulled a columbine) and when she confronted her bullies they said ”we are very sorry demi please forgive us, we only did it because you were being racist and it was only a joke but even still we are really sorry” One of those kids was in a wheelchair. Demi didn’t care and she smoked all of them. SHould we really be feeling sorry for her?

wow that blows, those girls who are bullied need to fight back, happened to me this year and i fought against him and his friend and won. Even winning 2to1 he still called more backup the next day and they did absolutely nothing to me. Just tried to intimidate me. Now he does nothing to me and he glares at me every time i pass him haha. Seriously, any1 being bullied just ignore them. If it continues and you can’t fight them cause they are bigger than you ask a friend or just tell a teacher. You are not a coward for doing this. They are the ones who are cowards for picking on people smaller than them or doing it in numbers.

Omg i feel so bad for her. im being bullied right now and its alot like her. they see who cant talk to me the longest and then this girl turned everyone against me. and when we had lunch one day and i was sitting at our usual table and then they moved and everyones like ohhh come over here but im like no im not going to and my only friend stayed with me but i told her to sit with them! now i regret being their friends!!
i hate bullying. i’ve never really been bullied ( not being up myself ) but i remember all of my friends picking on this 1 girl who use to be our friend. i was the only one that stood up for that girl at the same time being friends with the bullies. All my friends use to spit on here and use to just make her cry every minute she was at school. i use to have arguments with them to leave her alone and then aventually they did. A few years later i stayed friends with them both ( the bullies and the girl ) and now they are all friends and they still are. The girl who was getting bullied is now really good friends with the one who use to hurt her feelings the most. i don’t get y that girl has become frinds with the bullies but atleast they are all friends now.
I was bullied so badly that it triggered depression for me. Bullying is against the law in most states, but too many people don’t take it seriously and believe that it is just part of life you have to deal with. At least 25% of students are bullied either verbally, physically or emotionally. Many that are bullied fall into a depression which leads to suicide — in fact there are so many suicides as a result of bullying that they now have the term “Bullycide”! Additionally most of the school shootings have been planned by victims of bullying–including Columbine High School. I am involved with a Bullying Awareness and Prevention Program which I communicate jointly with a fellow student through secondary schools in the state of South Carolina. Bullying Prevention is also my platform as Miss Golden Strip Teen 2009 — I hope to prevent bullying in my community by teaching others to live by 1) The Golden Rule - Do unto others only what you would have them do unto you and 2) Lead by Example - Too many of us are bystanders who just stand by and watch others being bullied as they don’t want to be involved — and yet it usually only takes one person to stand up and say “Stop” to make the difference. I want to be that one person to help others and I hope others will follow my example. Let’s all work together to end Bullying!

I heard that a bunch of people signed a petition saying “we all hate demi lovato” HOW SAD IS THAT!!! I feel so bad for her… i am a huge fan!!! i also heard that she graduated high school already (a year early)(in home school of course) she is such a nice girl i have no idea why they signed a petition that is so cliche…if she went to my high school every1 would love her and want to hang out with her 24/7.

I have been bullied and it just had got wost over the years. It had finley ended after she told me she was going to hit me. That ticket my dad off and we went to the police. Now I just try to help others out to. I think celbs that were bullied have the power to help others.

i was bullied in sixth grade and seventh grade and i no how demi felt
i live in the middle east so people dont have the american accent like i did
and i was moved to the sixB and sevenB where all the kids were dumb so they started to make fun of me for 2 years because i was smart and all the teachers LOVED ME!so they made fun of me because they were jelouse of me
even my BFF since the first grade became friends with them and not only did she make fun of me with them but she also made up new stuff for them to make fun of me about!
i never did and never will trust her ever again
so i feel demetria’s pain but i just wanted to say that all the kids that made fun of me b/c they wer jelouse of me will regret it and one day will be become jeloouse of my success just like the kids thatbullied demi are definitly jelouse of her rite now and definitly regret itrite now
i hope that everyone that is bullied will oneday stand up to their bullies and show them they are not to be messed with just like i did
I love Demi Lovato, she is so talented and nice! I feel so bad that that happened to her, but stuff like that usually happens because of jealousy, like what Miley and what’s-her-name did. btw i was bullied too last year. I hated it, but once school was over i realized how pointless their bullying was, and i just had fun with people who actuakky meant something to me. I didn’t know why they insisted on being a part of my life, but I’m glad I didn’t want to be one of those people in theirs. Right now their probably still putting themselves through all that drama, and I’m just enjoying myself. When school starts again, all I could do is try to avoid them. I happen to be a Dallas native. I’ve met some really nice girls who are my age (16) and attended Grapevine middle school w/ demi. They’ve told me crazy stories about her. they told me she’s a major bitch. they also told me that in p.e. when they changed in the locker room, she wore a red thong all the time in seventh grade.
