High School Musical 3: Senior Year Spoilers

There’s been a ton of info released regarding HSM3 as of late, so I thought I’d try to sum it all in one spot.

The High School Musical 3 Dancing

The dancing is elevated and the amount of dancers is huge!
The High School Musical 3 cast is dancing a variety of dance styles … Waltzing and Cha Cha!

The High School Musical 3 Music

The music is more grown up, a lot of pop and music you might hear on the radio.
The songs are very fun. The Sharpay and Ryan song is cool and the Gabriella/Troy songs are amazing!
One song is Now or Never. The song is about basketball and takes place while they are playing a game.

The High School Musical 3 Plot Spoilers

The characters have grown up a lot.
The characters are dealing with the end of High School and the prospect of possibly going to different colleges.
Sharpay has her sights set on Broadway.
Some of the main characters are fighting for a scholarship to Juilliard. But the person you expect to get it … doesn’t!
Chad has put basketball in between he and Taylor. She tells him that he needs to ask her out properly to prom.
The prom scene is part of a dramatic performance put on by the characters.
Tiara gives Sharpay a run for their money.
Jimmy is the rocker sophomore. He thinks Troy is awesome and follows him everywhere.

High School Musical 3 Specific Scene Spoilers:
Basketball Finals:

The wildcats win the Basketball State Championship against the West High Knights.
Jimmy “The Rocket” Soto shoots the winning shot in the game.
Troy gets fouled during the basketball game and everything goes into slow-motion. Everyone gets worried while Troy makes his free throw shots and “Now Or Never” starts to play.

The Musical:

Prom:

The prom scene may or may not include a dream sequence!! It’s kind of a fantasy.
In the scene, filmed in an East High School gym decorated to the nines, Efron and Hudgens sing a romantic song while the rest of the cast members switch partners midwaltz. A prominent gazebo at one end of the dance floor may provide a musical portal to another scene (or so the cast teases us). As the actors twirl around a lighted centerpiece again and again, there seems to be some magic in the air.

Graduation:

As the seniors come out on stage, they announced what was happening to them.
Troy gives a speech and they all do a dance.
Troy will major in Theatre and Basketball – he leaves Chad and goes to Berkley.
Chad is going to the University of Albuquerque to play basketball.
Troy and Chad have an argument when Chad finds out Troy is going to Berkley instead of The University of Albuquerque with him, and of course they make up.
Gabriella is going to Stanford, which is only 30 minutes from Berkley.
Sharpay will take over the drama department at East High.
Ryan gets offered a scholarship from Juilliard.
Kelsi also gets a scholarship for music.
