Yes, diabetes totally sucks, but there are ALOT of things that suck more and should really be focused on MORE… like CANCER! I have type 1 diabetes and yes, its bothersome, but not unmanageable. My father has Esophageal Cancer, and since its in his esophagus, they cannot operate on the tumor and he is going to die. I would be MORE than willing to be stuck with my type 1 diabetes for the rest of my life, without any improvement EVER, if my father could be cured, because I am not dying from my disease the way he is. I get that they want to bring attention to diabetes, but i think they should use their influence and popularity to bring attention to more serious and pressing diseases. And even if not instead of AT LEAST in addition to
