Selena Gomez at Power of Youth Event
Selena Gomez bundled up to walk the red carpet of Variety’s Power of Youth Event this afternoon.
The event is held for the Power of Youth campaign - which benefits St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Brian Gott, associate publisher of Variety, told the press that “Target Presents Variety’s Power of Youth campaign is a powerful one; one that harnesses the energy of more than 150 young performers who are in a position to influence their peers and fans.”

Well to Kayla i just hate her like some ppl hate miley it comes to me naturally plus i just feel like shes too full of it and that she’s bein so good which is wat i like about her that shes keepin a clean image but i think shes too clean and hidin somethin

I just don’t understand why you hate her when you don’t even know her. I understand just disliking her a bit but I think hate is too strong of a word. And maybe she is hiding something but it’s not really any of our business just like it wasn’t any of our business what Miley did in her free time with the whole pictures thing. It’s their life. They make their own decisions and they are going to goof up every once in a while.

well Kayla your right i don’t hate her i mean shes pretty and shes a good actress thats the thing i like bout her i said hate because i hate it when ppl question me about my comments and i get worked up about it, but the truth is i really do dislike her i can never hate a celeb because i don’t know them

Oh, now it’s making more sense to me about why you say some of the things you do. And you’re right people shouldn’t question you about your comments. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions. You dislike Selena like some people dislike Miley. A little advice, though, if you want to avoid people hating on you, don’t question their comments when they say horrible things about Miles. And try to put your comments about Sel in a nicer, more mature way. Like instead of saying, “her coat is so not pretty and neither is her” and “i just feel like shes too full of it”, say something like, “She’s pretty but I don’t think that color suits her. I think it would’ve looked better on her if it was *insert color of your choice” or “Sometimes it seems to me that she is letting the fame go to her head. I’m not trying to be rude, I think she’s great and all, but that’s just how it seems to me.”
