Selena Gomez battles it out against Kwame Boateng on the Wii at Variety’s Power of Youth Event.
Selena wins, too cute!! Selena recently chatted with Variety about her character on Wizards of Waverly Place. She didn’t want the stereotypical girlie girl character with the tomboy best friend. Instead, she wanted the tomboy role! “When we began working on it, I wanted to be the tomboy character and maybe have a girly best friend — flip it around from the usual thing,” she says. “I used the inspiration of some of my favorite shows, like ‘Friends,’ took some comedy from there, and they liked it.“
