Selena Gomez Chats Being Mexican and Nick Jonas
Selena Gomez recently chatted with BlogAMole about her Mexican heritage, fashion, and Nick Jonas!
Selena says that there are a lot of things that give her pride when it comes to being Mexican. “For me it’s when I have moms come up to me after a show or taping and they say, ‘It’s so wonderful to see a Latina that my kids can look up to.’ I think that makes me feel so proud of where I come from because I do feel like it’s a huge step for the Disney channel to have their first Latin show. It’s incredible and I am happy to be a part of that family.”
When it comes to fashion, Selena doesn’t see herself as a fashionista. “I love fashion and I love to dress up, but I kind of follow my own style. I wear whatever makes me feel comfortable.”
And as for her Nick Jonas’ recent birthday, Selena says that she wished him a happy birthday but she wasn’t with him. “On his actual birthday I was working so a phone call was pretty much the extent of it all.” Oh and she gave him a gift. No further word on that!
