Abigail Breslin Has College Plans Already!
June 20, 2009 by Nikki Katz
Abigail Breslin recently chatted about her upcoming films and even her college plans!
When filming My Sister’s Keeper, Abigail admits that it’s important to be able to step away from the role.
“There were definitely times and scenes where we definitely had to stay in it,” she says. “But you also have to separate from it and be you and not the character… and I think that makes it a little bit easier.”
And she definitely believes in changing up her roles! In the upcoming horror-comedy Zombieland Abigal will be taking on legions of the undead alongside Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg.
“I had lots of fun,” she says. “Instead of having to try not to cry all the time, I was trying not to laugh.”
“I definitely like to play characters that are different from anything that I’ve played before,” she says. “I like to do different movies.”
And as for her future, Abigail insists she’s going to go to college and she even has her roommate and apartment picked out. “I’m going to go to NYU, and we’ve already picked out the place and we’re going to have a silver Christmas tree up all year long so that we can have presents underneath it all the time, and it’s going to be a pink and purple colour scheme,” she says!

Dear Eleanor, which is set to start filming this spring, is the story of two fourteen year old girls, Ellie and Max the Wax, who travel across America in 1962 during the chaos of the Cuban missile crisis in search of Eleanor Roosevelt and Ellie’s late mother. Their secret journey begins in their hometown of Manteca, California (The Pumpkin Capital of the World). Their final destination: New York City (The Big Apple). Along the way they’re robbed by a guy who looks like Warren Beatty and helped out by Max’s Aunt Daisy, a vaudevillian contortionist who can fold herself into a bag. When Ellie loses all hope of ever finding her mother, Aunt Daisy pushes her onward to discover just what is waiting for her at Eleanor Roosevelt’s house, and why this advent will not be the end of her journey, but just the beginning.
