Taylor and Jimmy talk about seeing each other on a plane recently, Taylor’s bulking up for his continued role as Jacob Black, and his press tour.

The UNICEF ambassador explained, “We were just in complete, utter shock, because we don’t really know how to explain the trip. It was completely life-changing and eye-opening. I got to meet teens, I got to meet children, I got to meet family. Honestly, their attitude is what really surprised me, I feel like nothing could bring them down.”

Selena said she’s honored to have a voice that people listen to. “I had people on my tour asking me where is Ghana, and they Googled it – and because I went there, they now know where Ghana is. So it’s pretty incredible.”

Miley says that her next birthday will be Dolly Parton themed and she wants everyone to dress up.

As for getting homesick on tour, Miley says that she gets a little bit, but she’s touring with the people that feel like home. “I don’t really have a home home,” she says. But she does consider home to be Nashville, not La La Land!

Miley admits that she spends way too much money on purses, pigs out on chips and Ranch dressing, and having Dolly Parton’s phone number on her cell phone!

So what’s up with the Sex and the City role? “Maybe, I can neither confirm or deny!”

On Getting Grounded: I broke a window once, that was like the worst thing I ever did.

On Dating: Be comfortable, don’t sacrifice anything for anyone. There’s a lot of people that I’m supposedly dating these days, but I’m kind of kicking it right now.

JC: Tell me about your current project!

Lie To Me. It’s a show on Fox and it’s about Dr. Cal Lightman. I play his daughter. He’s an expert in the science of lie detecting. He can tell facial tics and different stuff in your voice to know when you’re lying. He solves cases.

It’s kind of me just trying to be a teenager and acert my independence, which is kind of hard when he can tell everything I do.

JC: Do you prefer theater, television, or movies?

Well when I was younger all I wanted to do was musical theater. i wanted to be on Broadway, but when I was thirteen I decided to come out to California and try movies and television. I’m kind of focusing on that right now.

JC: What has been your favorite role thus far?

Lie To Me’s kind of fun because I like working Tim [Roth] and stuff. But I did have a lot of fun United States of Tara because I got to wear these really cool 40s close and say all sorts of snarky things.

JC: What is your dream role?

I’d really love to do something that J.J. Abrams is doing, like be on Lost! That would be so awesome, that’s one of my favorite shows.

JC: Who have you liked working with?

Working with Tim is a lot of fun. He’s really goofy and he’s been kind of fatherly, taking me under his wing. I’ve had fun with him.

JC: Have you ever been starstruck when you go on set?

When I was doing An American Crime, working with Ellen Page – she was really cool, but it was kind of intimidating.

JC: Who are your role models in the industry?

I do like Ellen, she has really unique and has made unique choices in her choices. I like Natalie Portman and Audrey Hepburn.

JC: How did you get your start in acting?

I wanted to do musical theater. I was about six or seven when I started. And then I got an agent in Oklahoma and started doing commercials.

JC: Do you have any advice for fans looking to get into the industry?

If you really love it, then just do it for fun.

JC: Do you have any celebrity crushes?

I do think Daniel Radcliffe is pretty cute!

JC: Do you have a good luck charm?

Not really!

JC: Is there anything you would tell your teen fans?

Don’t take things too seriously. Everything seems so important at the time, but in hindsight it’s always really silly.

Emily also chats about the song, revealing “I wrote this song about a year and a half ago with Max Collins and Tony Fagenson of Eve6. This music reflects sort of who I am. I’ve done stuff with Disney in the past but this is the first time where it’s really like, I wrote this stuff, it’s my music and I want you guys to hear it ’cause it’s not like what you’ve been hearing, it’s real music. I’m so excited for this to come out.”

She also talks about her “band” in the album, which is Push Play! “The fact that we’re all playing together is really cool!” she says.

The song is featured on her upcoming album, All The Right Wrongs, hits shelves in October.

JC: What have you been up to lately.

Well, I’ve been doing a lot of these phone interviews! I’ve been doing a lot of auditions.

JC: How long ago did you end filming for The Spy Next Door?

It feels like it was two months ago, but it was in December. Wow!

JC: Can you tell me about your role in that film?

I am a Russian spy, so a big difference from in Hannah Montana. [Laughs]

JC: How was it working with Jackie Chan?

I grew up on Jackie Chan. It was a dream come true! And I can mark it up on my bucket list. It was surreal actually.

JC: How was it filming Hannah Montana: The Movie?

That was three months paid vacation. It was awesome! We’re in the south, so everybody’s nice. It’s only four hours away from my home. We’re shooting a movie that’s a huge movie and everybody was treating me well! It was just the smoothest movie I’ve ever shot!

JC: I see your up for Teen Choice Awards nominees for Choice Movie Actor and Choice Movie Liplock! How does that feel?

It’s pretty awesome. I mean, a year ago I thought I was finishing up high school and I was gonna go to college. Now I’m in a Hannah Montana movie and up for two teen choice awards. It’s pretty smooth!

JC: How did you find out about the Teen Choice nominees?

An intern working for my agent’s office in Atlanta, apparently she likes me a lot. I’m going to take her out to dinner next time I’m in Atlanta! She was the first one to find out before any of my representation did! It was funny.

JC: How did you get your start acting?

I never thought acting was option. I started taking acting classes when I was ten. I thought wow, this was pretty awesome!

JC: How do you decide if you’re interested in auditioning for a role?

At this point, just as long as its available! For me it’s – is this movie going to entertain, inform, or inspire someone. That’s all it takes to get me to go on an audition.

JC: Who are your role models in the industry?

Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt.

JC: If you could play any part, what would it be?

The Joker!

JC: Quite a departure from Hannah Montana!

Well Hannah Montana was a departure from my career prior!

JC: What’s your favorite thing to do in your free time?

Play video games! That’s the main thing. If I’m really bored for a week I’ll play an RPG, otherwise I’ll do a first person shooter.

JC: What’s your favorite book?

Dante’s The Inferno

JC: Name one song on your iPod.

JC: Do you have any advice for your fans?

It’s all about what really matters in life, which is family, friends, and being happy. Don’t think that once you achieve ultimate fame and ultimate richness you’re going to be happy. That’s not how it works!

JC: Tell me about Lily’s role in Hannah Montana The Movie?

We see that friendship really tested. It’s a big part of the movie, because in the end Miley really needs Lily’s help. And it’s kind a test of friendship and the movie’s about friendship, about going back home as well.

JC: And was this more of a standalone plot?

It was a little tough for the writers because we were shooting episodes of Season 3 that were going to air after the movie had aired, so we had to get everything in our timeline kind of straight. In the series we were going to do Jackson going to college, but when the first draft of the movie came out Jackson was applying to college. We had to get everything straight I shot an episode a few months ago where Lily was celebrating her seventeenth birthday! Timing is tough in the Hannah Montana world.

JC: What is your favorite part of the Hannah Montana Movie?

Just being able to go outside I guess. We’ve been shooting in a sound stage inside for four years, and being able to go outside and take our characters with us, and shoot in Tennessee. Working on these wonderful locations with new people – Vanessa Williams, Tyra Banks, Lucas Til – so many opportunities to work with new people. The movie was a totally different experience and was a refreshing change.

JC: So do you prefer to do movies or television shows?

I hate to say I prefer to do movies but it’s a much bigger experience because it takes a longer time. When you tape a TV show it’s shot in a week and its done. So obviously I’d rather shoot a movie because you get to work months upon months with hopefully really great actors, so I think I’d rather do that.

JC: Do you have any funny stories from the set?

I don’t personally have any bloopers, but Jason was bitten by an ostrich. He got pecked in the face very hard. Now it’s pretty funny but back then it wasn’t very funny.

JC: How did you get started in acting.

I was about five years old when I started. My brother was really into it and my dad was doing it as well. So I tried it and it really gave me the opportunity to express myself. I loved it and I kept at it.

JC: Do you have any tips for fans interested in getting into the industry?

Yeah, make sure you know why you’re getting into the industry. I got into the industry because I loved acting and I loved playing different roles. I loved everything and it’s a wonderful way for me, personally, just to have an outlet for creativity. Make sure you don’t get into it for the celebrity, because that’s not the fun part.

JC: How was it doing the crossover event for the Wizards of Waverly Place and Suite Life on Deck?

We shot that a while ago. It was so fun. I’ve known the Sprouse twins and Brenda Song for as long as I’ve known our cast, so it was really fun to work with them. Suite Life came on our set, which was kind of nice because we got to share our set. I love the guys and Brenda of course!

JC: If you could play any role, what would you do?

It’s hard to say. I love playing a lot of different roles. I think it’s natural to want to play different roles and different from yourselves.

JC: If you could work with any actor, who would it be and why?

I love Edward Norton. Working with him would be pretty incredible.

JC: Do you want to do a project with your brother?

I’ve done some voiceover but nothing on screen. I think that would be pretty weird but pretty cool. We’ve talked about it before.

JC: Do you have any good luck charms?

My dog!

JC: Team Jacob or Team Edward?

I hate this question! I’ve read all the books but I have to go with Team Edward. I don’t like it when they ask if I like does that mean you like Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner better. And I say no, it has nothing to do with that – It’s the characters!

JC: If you could say anything to your fans, what would it be?

Please be yourself. Don’t try to be anybody else.

Nick spoke about fathers who come to the games with their daughters. He tells Conan,  “A lot of the arenas we play are right by the baseball stadiums. We were in Philadelphia and I saw some dads who had to come to the show with their daughters and you could tell they just wanted to be at the Phillys game. I went on my way and told them the score of the game, they lost. I don’t think that really helped. They were upset.”

They also talked about the online contest that the brothers held for their fans, in which the fans got to choose some kind of challenge that Joe would have to fulfill. They mentioned that one of the options was wrestling their bodyguard, Big Rob. Thankfully, Joe didn’t have to go through with it, because Big Rob really is…big! Enjoy the interview!
