Twilight is a Must-See!!
Did you head out to the midnight showing of Twilight? I did, and it was incredible! I met up with a group of fifteen people and camped out in line at around 8:00. They let us into the theater at 9:30, which was nice considering it was COLD outside! We then chatted inside, played some Twilight trivia game, and waited in comfort for the movie to start.
Robert was fabulous. Taylor was fabulous. Everyone was fabulous. And that surprised me because I wasn’t so fond of a few casting choices. And although it somewhat pains me to say this (based on her recent statements and attitude), Kristen Stewart did a really good job of portraying Bella. I was prepared to completely pick apart her performance but instead found myself swept into the story-line, just like the book!
Yes, there were a few bumps in the road. Slightly spoilerish, so after the jump!
I found myself disappointed in a couple of things, and just wondered why it couldn’t stay true to the book. These definitely weren’t time constraints because it would have taken the same time to portray! Mind you, most of these are tiny issues because overall I couldn’t find much fault with the film!
- The Biology Room Scene. Okay I thought they got this all wrong - the scene when Bella first walks in the biology room and Edward smells her. In the movie he clutches his nose and everyone in the theater was laughing. It was horrible! I expected to see this sharp intake of breath, him holding his breath and just glaring daggers at her as he leans away. Instead it came off as kind of corny. Definitely my least favorite interpretation, especially having read Midnight Sun!
- The Meadow Scene. Why oh why could we not have had the true meadow scene with the kiss? I didn’t like this whole ditching school to climb a mountain to show off his sparkly skin. And yes, the CGI here was a bit corny, but sparkly diamond skin just isn’t normal anyway!
- The Prom Scene. Hated Bella’s dress and tennis shoe. And I wish Alice would have gotten her ready. Maybe she would have looked more fancy!
- Bella & Charlie. I wasn’t sure why they ate out so much! The diner scenes didn’t add anything to the storyline and completely deviated from the book.
And then I was disappointed in the flashback scene for the Quileute and Cullen tribe. There was so much hype regarding the filming of these scenes, the costumes, etc and we maybe got 3 seconds to watch!
So enough about what I thought, what did YOU think of the movie? And do you plan on seeing it again? and again? and again?

You summed it up perfectly. It all seemed it took a while for Rob to settle into the role of Edward. The biology scene bugged me the most. He just looked like he smelled something awful not something he found intoxicating. But, oh my, did he make up for it…mhmm.
And yes, I…I just wish we got the full, real Meadow Scene. And ILM was disappointing in the Dazzle department…it’s like I wanted to turn it up a notch or two or seventeen…really dazzle…not little bitty glittery dazzle.
But yes, it was wonderful. The kiss. The kiss. The kiss. Wow. It’s hard to adapt something like this on the budget they had…hopefully, next time big budget = super duper special effects.

I left school and caught the 1;3O show i just couldnt help myself. I love the movie especially the baseball scene. Acting wise, the characters that were closest to the book were Rosalie, Carlisle & Billy Black. At some points the dialogue was corny but overall I loved it.

i just saw it last nightt=] it was amazinggggg me and all my friends loved itt..howeverr i was dissapointed with some things..like they skipped the whole airport scene..the meadow scene was 2 seconds long..edward tells her himself about how vampires get transformed when in the book he rlly didnt want her to know..=in the book when james calls bella its so much more suspensfull and intense than in the movie..also they didnt even mention jaspers powers..andd they left out the whole “do you dazzle me?” “frequently” line that i love=[[..still it was a greattttttt moviee..some of my favorite parts were: THE KISS..THE KISSS..THE KISSSSSS..omgg soo hottttt..it was a perfectttt bella/edward kiss=]]..”dont move” haha..the movie was also sooo funyyy..eric and mike were hilarioussss..charlie with his gun=]]..speaking of charlie i lovedd the scene when bella leaves him saying what her mom said before she left..the look on his face was heartbreakingggg=[[..yup thats pretty much it..twilight 4everr=]]

Hi. I just watched the movie, twilight yesterday. I love the movie <333 and I’m gonna watch it again for sure ^_^ Anyway, I’m just confused in the last scene of the movie. There’s a lady watching Edward and Bella while dancing, is it Victoria or someone else? I didn’t able to figure who it was. Is she one of the Cullen’s family? If someone knows, please reply. Thank you.
