Vanessa Hudgens Makes the Perfect Gabriella
Vanessa Hudgens has officially signed on to High School Musical 3: Senior Year. And Popstar tells us just why she’s the perfect Gabriella! (As if we didn’t already know)
She can laugh at herself!
During the filming of the first HSM, Vanessa was the first to crack everyone up -including herself! “There’s a scene where I say, ‘My mom’s company transferred here from Albuquerque.’ For some reason I still almost cannot say it. They used to make so much fun of me. Whenever we’d see the scene, everyone would start laughing!”
Friendship never ends.
“I think just meeting everybody,” Vanessa said was her fondest memory of her HSM experience. “I became such good friends with everybody!”
Vanessa “is” Gabriella.
Though Vanessa is different from Gabriella in real life, when she plays her, they’re one and the same! “You know, whenever I play a part I just feel all the feelings of the character,” Vanessa says. “So I totally just think in terms of what the character is thinking.”
She gets the HSM vibe.
Vanessa thinks that the reason HSM has become so huge is because “it’s a musical and the music is so fun. People aren’t really accustomed to actors breaking into song and danc … There’s a huge message in it, too!”
