Vanessa Hudgens was born Vanessa Anne Hudgens in Salinas, California. Her parents are Greg and Gina Hudgens. She has one sister, Stella.

Vanessa Hudgens – Career

When she was only eight, Vanessa started performing in musical theater, with roles in local productions of Carousel, The Wizard of Oz, The King and I, The Music Man, and Cinderella.

Vanessa auditioned for a commercial and won the role, launching her career in film and television. She landed roles on the shows Quintuplets, Cover Me, and Still Standing, then made her feature debut in Thirteen.

Vanessa continued to make guest appearances on shows, including The Brothers Garcia and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, as Corrie, a classmate of Maddie and London. She also appeared on Drake & Josh, playing Drake’s girlfriend, Rebecca.

Vanessa then landed the role of Gabriella Montez for the High School Musical made-for-TV-movie. The show was a huge success! Vanessa went on to star in High School Musical 2 and High School Musical 3. She is also set to star in the upcoming film Band Slam.

As a result Vanessa was offered a contract by Old Navy to appear in multiple commercials for the company. She also appeared in a Blockbuster commercial and is the face of Neutrogena.

Vanessa has moved into other roles, starring in the movie Rock On, and she is destined to do great things!

Vanessa also released her debut album, entitled V, in early September 2006. Her sophomore album is called Identified. It was released on July 1, 2008.
