Life & Style Weekly reports that ever since High School Musical 2 earned blockbuster TV ratings in August, Disney execs have been trying to fast-track a third installment for the big screen. But while Zac Efron is a must-get – his offer stands at $3.25 million, says an insider – many thought Vanessa Hudgens would be dropped from the franchise after a nude photo of her appeared online.
But it looks like the powers that be realize East High wouldn’t be the same without Gabriella (Vanessa’s character). “Vanessa’s offer has come in at $1.3 million,” says the insider. “Fans expect to see her.” The real question - how much did that photo cost her? Would she have received a better deal without the photo?
And the split rumors are still dogging the couple in real life. Although Zac, 19, and Vanessa, 18, are likely to reunite on-screen, their real life is another story. “Like every young couple, they break up for a minute and then get back together,” says a friend. “It’s happened several times. It’s tumultuous.”

Don’t listen to what anyone else is saying because you and vanessa are the hottest couple of the year and always will be the hottest couple of the year. If you go out with ashley it won’t work. You already tried it with her and it didn’t work out. You have held onto Vanessa so much longer. Ashley is a noce person but vanessa is the right one for you. In High School Musical 3 everyone will want Troy and Gabriella to have more romantic seens and have more chemistry. Baby V (your nickname for her) is a gorgeous person so don’t let her go. I absoulty positively support you and Vanessa. Besides the nude pictures weren’y her fault, they leaked out on the internet and every said in her apology that she regrets even taking those pictures. Don’t blame Vanessa. She is a really sweet girl and you know it.
