Zac Efron was born on October 18, 1987. Zac began his career at the age of 11 when he started taking singing lessons. The classes led to a role in “Gypsy” that ran 90 performances and he was hooked.
Zac Efron - Biography
Zac Efron was born Zachary David Alexander Efron in San Luis Obispo, California. His parents are David and Starla. He has one brother (Dylan) and a bunch of pets - two Australian Shepherds, Dreamer and Puppy, and a Siamese cat, Simon.
Zac Efron - Career
Zac worked on stage as a child, starring in “Peter Pan,” “Auntie Mame”, “Little Shop of Horrors” and “The Music Man”. From there he landed roles on several television series, including Firefly, ER, CSI, and The Guardian.
Zac became a household name after starring in the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical and High School Musical 2. He also starred in the WB series Summerland, and the film version of the Broadway musical Hairspray.
Zac’s upcoming roles include Seventeen [Video on Set & Pics on Set], a high school-set drama/comedy where Zac plays an adult who is transformed into a 17-year old (to be played by Efron). Zac also completed filming Me and Orson Welles, and he is scheduled to star in a remake of the film Footloose. Zac’s most recent role include his final installment as Troy in High School Musical 3.
