Zac Efron Thingks He’s Jason Bourne
Zac Efron says he’s actually likes the paparazzi and fan attention. He just pretends that he’s Jason Bourne!
“I’m always bobbing and weaving through alleyways trying to get to meetings, scouting out and looking outside doors and running around like Jason Bourne,” Zac tells Entertainment Weekly. “I’ve always loved secret agent movies, whether it be James Bond or Bourne Identity. Now I’m kind of living it.”
Zac shows off his entourage of fans when he heads to the local sushi restaurant to grab lunch. He runs up to a bus stop of high school kids where a girl screams, “You’re kidding me: You’re not really him.” Zac responds with a laugh. “I’m absolutely serious: It’s absolutely me,” he says, shaking her hand before heading into the restaurant. [I can soo picture him saying that!]
Zac also chats about being reluctant to sign on for High School Musical 2 and had an even harder time with High School Musical 3. He was anxious to move on to films with more substance and box-office appeal. But he decided that he owed it to the fans and himself to complete his senior year. “This felt like a good final chapter of HSM for me,” Zac says. “The fans basically demanded we make it. So this was our opportunity to do everything to the best of our abilities on a big screen.”
